Therapy Steps

Therapy Steps: Features

Step One

Book a free 15 minute consultation

This allows you to get a better understanding of the process and me ask any questions.
Initially, you will need to complete some details such as  your name and contact information, so I will be able to call you at your chosen time.

Step Two

Ready to book an individual Session

Once you decide to book the Initial Assessment session, I will email your intake and consent forms. Please sign and fill these out to the best of your ability and return them to me.
You will also be given an email with the Zoom link and private passcode. Download the Zoom App if you haven't done so already.

Step Three

Your First Session

At the time of your appointment, click on the Zoom link that I provided in the email. You will be sent to a Zoom waiting room and we will then connect virtually.
The first session is getting to know you better along with your goals for therapy.

General Information about therapy

Privacy and Coverage

The platforms I use to keep client records and connect with you virtually are secure with password protection and compliant with The Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

According to PHIPA, your private and personal information cannot be released to third parties unless you provide written consent. Ultimately, your safety is my priority and there may be some limits that will impact confidentiality including:

(1)You are at risk to yourself or others

(2)Reasonable cause to believe a vulnerable individual is in need of protection

(3)A judge orders a subpoena (court order) or a search warrant.

Most extended health benefits will cover therapy. However, it is a good idea to check with your insurance provider directly to understand your coverage.
