About Heather

Heather Driedger, Occupational therapist, Psychotherapist

I believe in the resiliency of humans, after working with individuals who have overcome some of the most difficult and challenging situations. I have worked with individuals in a variety of areas of mental health inpatient and outpatient hospital programs. This includes acute adult and adolescent treatment, adult day program and seniors community mental health program. I use a cognitive-behavioural approach with a solution-focused framework emphasizing a person-centred model to support your goals and enhance your quality of life.

I consider it an honour to work alongside you through your challenges, fears and hurt.  I do my best to create a warm and nurturing environment that allows you to feel comfortable and express yourself honestly and openly.

At this time I will be using an online therapy approach via a secure video link. It's similar to being in the same therapy room, except we're doing it through a screen. This has the advantage of eliminating travel and connecting from the comfort of your own environment.

I am a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational therapist of Ontario. I'm also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.

I am a spouse, mother to teens, family member, friend and volunteer. I try my best to have balance in my life. So I go for walks with my dog, play card and board games with my family, meditate and do yoga to refuel. I also enjoy a good cup of tea, reading and travelling.
